Seventeen years of dedication: Celebrating our Arabic teacher’s inspiring journey

In 2008, Ms. Najwa Attil joined Nibras International School as an Arabic Teacher, beginning what would become an inspiring seventeen-year journey of teaching, learning, and growth.

At that time, the school was still small, and she vividly remembers teaching just one student in her Arabic class.

“I asked myself then whether the time would come when this school would grow and the number of students would increase,” she recalls. “After more than a year, the number of students began to grow gradually, and the school expanded until we reached this large number of students.”

From that simple beginning, Ms. Najwa’s journey unfolded. It is one filled with unforgettable memories, proud milestones, and the joy of seeing students flourish year after year.

Looking back, she speaks with warmth and gratitude about her time at Nibras and the people who shaped her experience. She shared that the school has gone through several administrations, all of which she had the opportunity to work with.

“I am truly grateful to every administration that left a positive mark, especially Dr. Jay and Ms. Althea, for their successful leadership and kind treatment of teachers,” she says. “I am also grateful for Ms. Eman who has always been my pillar, encouraging me to continue giving my best under all circumstances.”

Her greatest joy, she adds, has always been watching her students grow. One memory stands out in particular. Years after graduation, a former student returned to invite her to his university ceremony.

“That moment was the truest evidence that the message of education does not end within the walls of a school,” she reflects with a smile.

For Ms. Najwa, Nibras is much more than a workplace. It’s her second home and a place where she has lived the most wonderful moments with her students and amazing colleagues, sharing warmth and joy every day.

Reflecting on her colleague’s journey, Ms. Eman, our Head of MOE subjects shared, “Ms. Najwa’s dedication and love for teaching have left an incredible mark on generations of students. She represents the true spirit of Nibras International School, where passion and care for students come first.”

As Nibras International School celebrates its 20th anniversary, Ms. Najwa’s story stands as a beautiful reminder of the strength of its people and the power of education to transform lives.
