We are proud to celebrate our Grade 12 student Mila Z., who has been selected to join the Dubai Students Council. This exciting achievement shows how NIS students put their learning into practice every day, developing the confidence and leadership skills to make a difference beyond the classroom. The Dubai Students Council, an initiative by KHDA, brings together young leaders from only 16 schools across the city to share their ideas and shape the future of education. Mila’s selection is a proud moment for our community and a reflection of the dynamic and supportive environment that helps every NIS student find their voice.“I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Dubai Students Council. Joining this team means so much to me, and I’m excited to contribute to the conversations that help improve student life across Dubai,” said Mila. “At NIS I’ve learned that leadership is about listening, supporting others, and working together, and I want to bring that same spirit to the Council.”Through initiatives such as the NIS Student Council, volunteer activities, and peer mentoring programs, students at Nibras are encouraged to take initiative, collaborate, and lead with empathy. These opportunities prepare them to engage confidently with their community and beyond. Mila’s selection to Dubai’s Students Council is a great example of how this comes to life at our school. “We’re immensely proud of Mila,” said Dr. Jay Teston, School Superintendent. “She has shown great initiative and empathy throughout her time at NIS, and her selection reflects the values we nurture in every student.”At Nibras International School, we are committed to developing lifelong learners who are confident, compassionate, and ready to shape the world around them. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Mila will make through the Dubai Students Council and how her experience will inspire others across our school community.
