Nibras International School shines at the AUE debate and public speaking tournament

Two of our talented debate teams advanced all the way to the semi-finals, where they faced each other in an inspiring Nibras showdown. The teams went on to claim both first and second place, making Nibras the only school to sweep the top debate titles. Adding to the celebrations, one of our remarkable students also secured second place in the Arabic Public Speaking category, impressing the judges with her confidence and eloquence among strong competitors.

What made this victory even more special was the way our students represented Nibras values throughout the competition. They applauded their peers, offered words of encouragement, and even shared debate notes to support others. Their humility, kindness, and generosity stood out as much as their skill and talent, earning praise from coaches and chief judges from other schools who were deeply impressed by their attitude and performance. 

This year’s AUE Debate and Public Speaking Tournament brought together some of the brightest young minds from across the UAE for a day of powerful voices, sharp arguments, and inspiring speeches. To recognise their outstanding performance, five of our participating students were also awarded scholarships by the American University in the Emirates - a proud moment that reflects their hard work and potential. 

The Nibras community is incredibly proud of our students’ achievements, not only for the trophies they earned but for the values they demonstrated along the way. Their success is a reminder that true leadership is about excellence with empathy and success with integrity.

As our young debaters and speakers continue to grow in confidence and skill, we look forward to seeing how they will use their voices to inspire positive change in the world.
